JAMES KESTNER, 86, DIES AT RILEY BROWN HOME YESTERDAY
James Kestner, 86, merchant at Earlington, Ky., until five years ago and
known by all of the friends of his Harrisburg relatives, died at 2:30 p.m.
yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Riley Brown, 214 East Dayton
street. A heart ailment, due to old age, was the cause of his death.
He had been with Mr. and Mrs. Brown since his retirement from business five years ago. He was a widower and is survived byeight children, namely: Mrs. Hettie Peyton of Harrisburg and Nettie Calkins, Detroit, Mich., who are twins, Jesse and Neal Kestner and Isa Craig, Evansville, Mrs Cora Walker, Kelly, Ky., Mrs Lennie Ray, Orlando, Fla., Mrs Riley Brown and twenty grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Following a short funeral service at the Riley Brown home at 10 a.m.
Sunday, the body will be taken to Madisonville, Ky., and a graveside service
will be held at the I.O.O.F. cemetery there at 2 p.m. Rev. Van Hoos will
conduct the service.
