She died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at King's Daughters Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She formerly lived in Frankfort, and she was retired from the National Distillers after 25 years of service. She as a member of the former Frankfort Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Carter; two sons, Thomas Fint, Lawrenceburg, Alfred Fint, Covington, Ky; three step-daughters, Mrs. Sharon Smith, Mrs. Joyce Vaughn, both of Frankfort, and Mrs. Marie Medford, Russellville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Frankfort Cemetery. Rev. Thomas C. Barnes will officiate.
A native of Frankfort, he was a member of the First Christian Church, a veteran of the Korean War, and served as a boating officer for the Department of Public Safety.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Childs; on son, Roy Thomas Childs; two daughters, Carolyn and Deborah Childs all at home; father R. T. Childs of Frankfort; and one sister, Mrs. Nancy C. Myers of Frankfort.
Bearers will be Phil Redmon, Donnie Collins, Lawrence Hoover, L.C. Mathers, Jerry Hodge, Clay Walton, Steele Dudley and David Collins. The body is at Sullivan's.
Note: David T. Childs drowned April 8, 1972.
A native of Brownsville, she was born August 20, 1898. She lived in Frankfort many years, was employed in the Department of Public Safety. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Miss Logan is survived by a sister, Mrs. W. H. Adkins, Shreveport, La.; three brothers, Clyde R. Logan, Frankfort, and Frank A. Logan, Louisville; a niece and nephew.
Funeral services will be conducted in Rogers Chapel at 4 p.m. Saturday by Dr. Fred T. Moffatt of the First Baptist Church.
Another service will be conducted in the Fairview Baptist Church near Brownsville at 2 p.m. Sunday, with interment following in the cemetery adjoining the church.
