Guidelines for Submitting Files to the MNGenWeb Archives

Files for the MNGenWeb Archives can be sent as an attachment or in the body of the
email message. Attachments should be saved as a Text File with a ".txt"
extension.

HOW TO TYPE THE SUBMISSION FOR OUR FILES:
------------------------------
1st - Name of County, Minnesota Archives, type of item, Name of Person or Event and date of event
EXAMPLE: Nobles County Minnesota Archives Obituaries..... Last name, First name (Middle Name) February 12, 1853

2nd - Type the following Copyright Notice below the first line as:

3rd - Enter the following text, Submitters name, email address and date of submission
EXAMPLE:  File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by:
					Bryant W Walker genealogy@bryantsweb.com April 14, 2014

4th - Enter the source of the submission for the event:
EXAMPLE: Worthington (MN) Daily Globe, February 12, 1853

5th - Enter the body of the event as it was written (single space lines):
EXAMPLE:
	(Name), 55, of Worthington, Minnesota, formerly of Wilmont, died
	Friday, Feb. 12, 1853, in Worthington.
  Born April 13, 1949, he was the son of (name).
	He married (name and date), in Wilmont. They were later divorced.
  Surviving are (names).

  The service will be 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, Worthington, 
	followed by a gathering at the Eagles Lodge.
